AllOne is an American holistic healing academy run by two women — Bonnie Russell and Annie Smith. Bonnie founded it in 2011 and has taught, by their own count, more than 2,200 students worldwide. What sets them apart is not the titles but the combination: someone who has worked with energy for decades and still wants to know what it looks like under a microscope. That instinct is why their training is a curriculum rather than a collection of experiences.
A board-certified holistic health practitioner since 1998, third generation in a family of practitioners, a certified hypnotherapist, and holder of doctorates in shamanic theology and divinity. She is also an international bestselling author — Spirit Flight and The Empowered Empath among others. In practice she is the one who designs the certification tracks and teaches most of them.
She works in energetic alignment, mostly with people who feel stuck. Her half of the programme is less about structure and more about activation — recognising what is blocking, and giving someone back the sense that they have a hand in it. Students describe the pairing as two angles on the same material.
The core is quantum healing: working with the energetic body on the premise that the person heals themselves and the practitioner restores alignment. The certification tracks are built around it — Holistic Health Practitioner, Master and Doctor of Holistic Health — alongside a full herbal side, Practical Herbalism and Master Herbalist. They also run end-of-life doula training, ministry work and retreats, which are not listed here because they are further from what brings most readers to this page.
This is the question that comes up most, so it is answered plainly. Their programmes carry international accreditation within the holistic field and issue a certificate you can practise and advertise with. What they are not: an academic degree from a university, or a licence to practise medicine. That distinction matters — a holistic doctorate is not a medical degree, and they say so themselves. If the goal is to work as a holistic practitioner with structured training behind you, this fits. If the goal is clinical standing, it does not.

Some schools teach one method. Some build everything around one philosophy. AllOne is interesting for the opposite reason: it refuses to stay inside one box.
Its teaching moves across holistic health, herbal medicine, nutrition, meditation, intuitive development, hypnosis-oriented work and energy-based spiritual frameworks — presented through a mind-body-spirit model rather than a conventional medical one.
That breadth is what makes it worth writing about. It is also why this page spends as much time on the boundaries as on the strengths.
I did not find AllOne while looking for affiliate programmes. I studied there myself. Part of my own holistic-health education, including my DHH training, came through this school.
That means I know some of the material from the inside rather than from a landing page — the language, the unusual mix of subjects, and the places where I think you should keep your own judgement switched on.
Learning from a school does not require agreeing with every sentence it teaches. That is close to the whole point of Field Picks: a recommendation should have room for what I value and what I think you should examine for yourself.
A course should leave you with more tools. Not fewer questions.
AllOne describes itself as a training centre for holistic practitioners, healers, spiritual coaches and therapists. Its published programmes have included Holistic Health Practitioner, Master of Holistic Health, Doctor of Holistic Health, Practical Herbalism and Master Herbalist.
Around those sit subjects connected with meditation, intuition, energetic anatomy, hypnosis, consciousness and spiritual development.
That combination makes the school hard to file under one heading. It is not a medical school. It is not only a herbalism school. And it is not purely a spiritual-development school. It sits between those territories — which for the right student is the attraction, and for the wrong one is the problem.
Some AllOne course language uses the word shaman. I want to be precise about it here.
A modern online course does not make someone part of an Indigenous lineage or a living ceremonial tradition. Within this framework the word is better read as a modern spiritual metaphor — self-knowledge, connection with nature, intuition, personal responsibility, natural-health knowledge, and working consciously with other people.
You may find that language resonant, or you may prefer different words. The content matters more than the label.
The curriculum moves between physical lifestyle, natural health, emotional awareness, intuition and spiritual development rather than insisting one tool explains the whole person.
Most of the material asks the student to practise, prepare, observe or integrate something — not only to read about it.
It is very easy to spend years between books, videos and teachers without ever building a foundation. A defined curriculum gives that search a container.
Sometimes the most useful thing a broad programme gives you is not a profession. It is the discovery of which subject deserves deeper study — and which ones do not.
These programmes belong to holistic, spiritual and complementary education. They are not a replacement for medical school, licensed psychotherapy, clinical nutrition or any other regulated health profession, and a certificate from them should not be presented as one.
The Academy uses quantum language within its spiritual and holistic teaching. On this site I keep quantum physics as a scientific discipline separate from the metaphorical and metaphysical use of the word in consciousness and healing communities. Both can be interesting. They are not the same kind of claim.
The Academy presents its founder's background as including holistic-health, herbalism and spiritual or religious qualifications. A holistic or spiritual title containing the word Doctor is not an MD, a physician's licence or a clinical doctorate.
That does not make the education worthless. It tells you what kind of education you are evaluating — and in a field where titles often grow larger than the reality behind them, that distinction is part of choosing well.
When a programme is described as accredited, find out which body accredits it, what the accreditation actually permits, whether it is recognised where you live, whether the work you intend to do is regulated, and whether separate insurance or further training is required. A certificate can represent real study without being a licence to practise.
This matters most with herbs. Plants are active substances: they can interact with medication and with existing conditions. Responsible study includes knowing when not to use something, and when to send someone to a qualified healthcare professional instead.
